The FIRST OF ITS KIND IN THE U.S.
Indigenous Design Camp isn’t just a camp—it’s a movement.
Created by Native architects Mike Laverdure (Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa) and Sam Olbekson (White Earth Nation), this one-of-a-kind experience invites Indigenous youth (ages 14–18) to discover the world of architecture and design through a cultural lens—one that reflects their identity, their communities, and their futures.
In a field where Native Americans remain deeply underrepresented—fewer than 30 Indigenous architects are practicing in the U.S.—this camp opens the door to powerful new possibilities.
